Adopt-A-Walk Leaders

Carol Golliher

Carol Golliher is a retired two-year college English professor who has lived in Santa Monica for 9 years. She is a voracious reader who has never liked running. But she has definitely committed to walking. She walks to appointments as often as possible and to the bank, to the library, and to friends’ places.  She walks on trips through Hawaii, Paris, London, Edinburgh, and home state places in Michigan. She has been walking through Santa Monica on her own, with the Y, with friends, and now with AAW.

Carmen Parker

Carmen Parker has lived and worked for the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. She has also lived and worked for UNICEF in Paris, France. As a former tour guide she traveled with groups to Japan and Mexico. She loves to walk and travel. When Malin started Adopt-A-Walk (AAW), Carmen became the first AAW Leader. Since 2019, she has volunteered to guide people along the Wilmont Walk Loop in Santa Monica every Saturday morning.
